Who are you my readers?
I'm always *shocked* whenever someone posts to my blog. I figure it exists in the twilight area where it's public, but no one can find it. Sort of like a specific book way deep in a University's stacks. Now that I stumbled onto Technorati I've been perusing other people's blogs about obscure things. I didn't realize how many other Weight Watchers-focused blogs there were out there! I really like this one by a Canadian woman because she adds cute little photos to her posts that are nicely illustrative. But the more fully I step into the blogging world the more aware I become of how vast it is. Isn't there something like 25 million people blogging? (Ah here's a good page on blogging statistics just from Technorati). Of course I recall from grad school that the real trick isn't the blogging, but in maintaining it. Most blogs are abandoned after three months. But if you keep at it long enough people will find it. I was just looking at this blogger's three years long quest to review Left Behind (Something I want to elaborate on later). For him it's been three years, but only just I found it yesterday and started reading through the whole thing.
I haven't yet figured out how to do all the bells & whistles for blogs. I really should add a counter because I'm dying to know how many people have clapped eyes on my claptrap. I know how a couple of readers found this blog because I specifically went to their blog and chatted. One found me because I've been listing my blog in message board posts.
This is why I always go back and forth about whether I should try concentrating my blog into something more deliberate than a journal.

I did a google search on "bitchkittie" after seeing your profile on the onion personals.
Ah...good to know but she's not me. However I do use "bitchkittie" for my Smirkingchimp.com postings. Although I don't really post there much anymore.
I was surprised that "bitchkittie" wasn't more popular than it is.
